1. Digital Voice File. A compressed audio file format developed by Sony. Sony use the .dvf file type for recording audio from a number of their digital voice recorders.

The Digital Voice Editor software that comes with SONY devices that record .dvf files, provides an option to convert to other audio formats. Windows Media Player will also player these files (provided it has the Sony Player plug-in (see links below).
