3. Disaster Recovery file. A file used by Symantec's Backup Exec, and is required for Intelligent Disaster Recovery.

Symantec's Backup Exec, creates .dr files as part of the backup process, and the default location where it stores them is: C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\IDR\Data\<computer name>.dr
