Server Error in '/folder' Application Exception ...
Symptom:
When trying to run and debug a .NET web-application the following error is generated in the browser:
Server Error in '/folder'
Application Exception HRESULT: 0x80131524
Description: An unhandled exception ...
Cause
This is believed to be caused by an internal bug. However this bug only appears to affect development and this error is not believed to affect software run outside of the debugger.
Remedy:
Try killing the process 'aspnet_wp.exe' and try again. (Use
task manager to kill the process.) The process will be re-created automatically.
These notes have been tested within Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 (for .NET 1.1) running under Windows 2000, and may apply to other versions as well.
