All of the tuning activities that would be performed for a normal single Oracle instance should still be applied to Oracle Parallel Server. For general notes on Oracle tuning click here.

Specific tuning to Oracle Parallel Server include:

• Tuning - Reduce dynamic resource allocation
• Tuning - Reduce pinging (i.e. contention)
