.myd file extension
- .myd
- 1. MySQL table data file. A .myd file contains table row data.
Along with each .myd file there should be a .frm file (containing the table structure) and a .myi file (containing any indexes).
The contents of a .myd file can be viewed/opened using MySQL, but only if the accompanying .frm file is available. (It is possible to recreate the accompanying .myi file if it is missing.)
For more information see:

- 2. MyDefrag script. A script file for use with MyDefrag, a popular
(free) disk defragmenter for Windows.
The scripts distributed with MyDefrag have the extension written as .MyD - note the mixed capitalisation, although the capitalisation is not significant to Windows.
Each script allows fine control over what will be defragmented and various defrag options to use during the process. The script files can be edited using a simple text editor such as notepad.
