.switch

Secure package file. A .switch file is created by Egress Switch from Egress Software Technologies. The file is a secure package containing encrypted files.

Files can be added to a .switch file (secure package file) using Egress Switch. A recipient of the secure package can view that information with the Switch browser or use those files and create their own secure packages with the Switch Client. Since the file is encrypted it cannot be viewed by others and is thus provides a secure format in which to send files.
