1. Visual Studio Toolbox data file.

A .tld file is used by Visual Studio, version 2008, 2010 and 2012 (and possibly other versions as well). It contains information used by Visual Studio to populate the toolbox.

These files are located in:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0 for Visual Studio 2008

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0 for Visual Studio 2010

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0 for Visual Studio 2012

These files are typically hidden files. They can be deleted as Visual Studio will automatically recreate them.

2. Java tag library descriptor file.

A .tld file is an XML document containing information about a Java library.
