A .wer file will typically be found with any combination of .mdmp, .hdmp and .txt files which contain additional information about the error.
Windows Error Report files are typically found in any of the following locations:
- In folders under
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER - In folders under
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER
but specific locations may vary according to the version of Windows.
