Data Recovery

Data Recovery is the process of recovering data that has been lost or damaged (i.e. corrupted).

The most common form of data recovery is to restore a copy of the data from an available backup. Where data is available but has been corrupted in some manner the data recovery process will entail some form of data checking and fixing - although this is not always viable.

Where data has been stored on a device which has sustained physical damage it may be necessary to approach a specialised data recovery company.
