- 1. A communications channel allowing simultaneous data transfer when both sending and receiving data. cf simplex.
- 2. To print on both sides of a sheet of paper. Also referred to as double sided printing. Most printers (see simplex) will only print on one side of a sheet of paper. A duplex printer will print on both sides - normally by printing on one side and then flipping the paper over before printing on the other.
