JBOD
- JBOD
- Just a Bunch Of Disks, or Just a Bunch of Drives. JBOD is a collection
of two or more disks in a system which are managed individually and do not
form part of a RAID. (Although disks which are
physically part of a RAID but are not configured as part of the array and
accessed as separate individual disks would still be included as JBOD.)
Unlike a RAID, JBOD provides no performance or fault tolerance benefits.
