Summary comparison of clip art sites
Any search of the internet will yield many sites that provide clip art. The following is not intended as an exhaustive list. It lists those sites that have been useful in the construction of this site, been used by the webmaster elsewhere or which have been recommended to the webmaster. It does not include sites which are only lists of clip art sites, nor does it include sites with annoying pop-up or pop-behind ads.
This selection primarily concentrates on sites providing free (or some free) clip art (although exceptionally good non-free sites are also included). Typically even these sites with free content will have some terms and conditions relating to the use of the graphics on their sites. A common condition is that free art is only available for use on private and non-commercial sites, otherwise commercial sites are expected to pay for what they use.
