- 1. Multiple Document Interface.
MDI is a GUI interface for an application that allows more than one document to be visible at a time.
- 2. Medium Dependent Interface. Provides the physical connection to a cable.
- 3. Microsoft Document Imaging Format.
A file format based on TIFF that is designed to store images by page layout. The resultant files normally have the file extension of .mdi.
