- Uniform Resource Identifier.
A UNI is a way to identify (or address) a name or resource over a network. A URI is expressed as a short string.
A URI takes the form of a URN or a URL, and is expressed as a text string of the form:
protocol://domain-name/pathname
Where
protocol
